The Essence and Foundation of Judicial Authority. The Wisdom of Generations or the Need of the Moment?
Already in the first issue of „The Voice of Law” we announced a series of columns entitled „Votum Separatum”. We are only starting to publish them now. We were assured by the author that the columns/essays will concern the broadly understood administration of justice, including the judiciary. What they will have in common is that they will be referring to historical and comparative sources. They will also take a critical look of the present. The first column features the relationship between the appointment of the judges and their impartiality. It seems that the essay provokes further reflections and opens the field to a discussion, to which we invite all readers, given that the discussed subject is very topical not only in Poland and Europe, but also globally.
Keywords : administration of justice, judiciary, judges, President of the Republic of Poland, irremovability, impartiality.
