International Conference “Holocaust and International Law”, Odessa, October 25-26, 2018

On October 25-26, 2018, the International Conference “Holocaust and International Law” took place at the Odesa House of Scientists, which was dedicated to the 70th anniversary of the adoption of The Convention on the Prevention and Punishment of the Crime of Genocide on December 9, 1948. The conference took place at the memorable dates of the murder of the Jewish population of Odesa in the gunpowder warehouses in 1941.

The organizers of the conference have focused on the influence of the Holocaust in the formation of the doctrine and practice of international law on the prevention and punishment of the crime of genocide, as well as on the reflection of these tragic events in the international legal consciousness.
